I grew up with country and western on the fm in the car. Mom and dad watched Hee Haw. The radio in the house was tuned to country. I was surrounded by the stuff. At the time I didn't care much for it. But, it sunk on in.
This blawg-thang will give me the chance to dig into depths of my country and western shelves and pull out gems that you may or may not have heard. Heck, I might not have heard 'em.
What you hear is the needle on my rekkid playin' machinery groovin' the twang of yesteryear. A track or two or three from an lp or a side of 45 or 78. Mayhaps a theme jukebox. But no cd rips. Look elsewhere for the latest Bear Family download.
While we're at it... save special circumstances (pals, songwriters, artists) I'm not in the game of "downloads". I hate to come off rude, but of the few times I've spent my time grabbing someone a download more than half of those folks don't even take the time to shoot back a "Thanks". It's easy enough to find someone ripping cd comps and offering rapidshares of those. That's not what I do.
