Do the Stagger with the Louvins

THE LOUVIN BROTHERS- The Stagger (Capitol 4331)

In a catalog including classics such as "I Don't Believe You've Met My Baby", "Knoxville Girl", and "Cash on the Barrelhead" a 'dance'song catches little respect, but Charlie and Ira's "Stagger" ain't too shabby... but then I dig these big ol' country stars going the rock route. Something odd and appealing about the whole thing. And it being the Louvins is icing on my sugary cake.

If You're Gonna Play the Jukebox,...

JOHNNY PAYCHECK- A11 (Hilltop 3007)

Quite simply one of the greatest songs of all time. A favorite for singin' along to in the car. And a favorite for kitchen floor two-steppin' with Mrs. Westex.

Just so very, very good.

Make sure you pick up the Bear Family cd on Donny Young / Johnny Paycheck... EASILY one of the BEST single disc / single artist releases they've ever put out.
